*Week of October 3rd through 8th …BRING A FRIEND TO CLASS WEEK! Bring a friend to your class to experience the fun you have. If your friend signs up for classes you receive $20 off of November’s tuition!
*October 7th…FIRST FRIDAY EVENT IN DOWNTOWN PUTNAM! Come downtown and experience art, dining, entertainment, and shopping. Gallery openings, Fine Art Frolic (Installations and Performing Art), Artisan Vendors, Live Music, Amazing Cuisine, and the main stage entertainment for the evening, Brown Bird. The Students from Julie Watt’s Visual Art Exploration class at The Complex will be painting out on the street for the evening…don’t miss this great event! Support your local artists!!!
*Monday October 10th …Columbus Day, No Classes. According to our records of the last three years Columbus Day is a holiday that everyone seems to need and attendance in class has been next to empty. We would like to give you this day with your family and invite you take a different class during this week so you may enjoy family time! If you are interested in other class options please see your schedules for guidance or ask Nichola.
*Week of October 17th through 22nd…Parent/Teacher/Student Meetings. During the first 15 minutes of each of your child’s classes. *Note Exception: Level V Dancers the meeting will be at 7:30 on Monday October 17th for you and your parents.
*Monday October 31st…Halloween, No Classes. While our first choice would to be at dance we hate to make your little ones choose on this fun day for them. As with Columbus Day we have reviewed our records and found that attendance in class on Halloween was less than 5% of the class. We will follow the same format as Columbus Day make-ups….choose any class during this week to do as a make-up (Plus you get to try something new and experience a different teacher!)
*October 21-November 5….The Black Box Theatre Presents Bat Boy…Mature Audiences.
*Friday November 4th…First Friday Event in Downtown Putnam…Come get your art on!!
*Friday November 18th -27th …Break A Leg at The Complex Presents, KIDS ON BROADWAY…Don’t miss this old favorite!
*Thursday November 24th through 27th..Thanksgiving Break, No Classes…Give thanks everyone!
*Thursday December 1st…Dress rehearsal for Mid-Year Showing…All Students required to attend. 5:00-8:00
*Friday December 2nd through December 4th…All Student Performance---Mid-Year Showing. Note: Not all students will perform on all three days…Intro to Dance, Kinderdance, and Theatre will be only performing one or two days of the performance but must attend the dress rehearsal. We will let you know soon which days you will be performing. Performance times: Friday and Saturday—7:00, Sunday—2:00. Call is at least one hour before show.
*Thursday December 15th…Holiday Party at The Complex!...A party to celebrate our family at The Complex. For all students and their parents. Invitations will go out soon!!!! We can’t wait to party with you!! Fun, Food, Dance, Food Drive, Santa, Games, Friends, and of course Surprises!!!!
*Friday December 10th-18th…The Black Box Theatre Presents, NUNSENSE!!!!...Laugh your socks off!!!
*Friday December 23rd through Sunday January 2nd …HOLIDAY BREAK, NO CLASSES…Be safe and we will see you all in 2012!!! Classes resume on Tuesday January 3rd
*January 3RD …CLASSES RESUME!!!!
*Friday January 13th and Saturday January 14th ...Student Performance, Teen Theatre Class. Come see the teen theatre students as they present a piece about, well, the theatre!!!!
*Monday January 16th…Martin Luther King Day, YES WE DO HAVE CLASSES!!!!!!!
*January 27th through February 4th…The Black Box Theatre presents, ART.
*Monday February 20th…Presidents Day, YES WE DO HAVE CLASSES!!!!!!
*Friday February 24th and Saturday 25th…The Breakin’ Through Dance Company Winter Performance…Come support the student dance company at The Complex. Don’t miss this opportunity to share a dance performance with your children and expose them to all The Complex has to offer!!!
*Thursday March 15th…Dress rehearsal for our Student Contemporary Dance Performance. All modern, contemporary and hip hop classes must be in attendance. 5:00-8:00
*Friday March 16th through 18th…Student Contemporary Performance…All Modern, Hip Hop, and Contemporary Students will perform and must attend all three performances.
*April 16th through 22nd…APRIL BREAK…NO CLASSES. Enjoy the beginnings of spring! Go outside and dance in the rain!!!
*Monday May 28th…MEMORIAL DAY, NO CLASSES.
*June 6th and 7th…Tentative dates for dress rehearsal for The Student Ballet Performance…All ballet students required to attend. Venue: TBA
*June 8, 9, 10…The Student Ballet Performance(tentative date)…All ballet students required to attend all performances. Venue: TBA
* June 23rd…Last Day of Classes
*July 2nd…Summer Session Begins

*Tuition is a monthly fee and is always the same. 2 snow days per year and vacations are worked into the price of tuition. If you would like to make up any missed classes you are more than welcome to do so in another appropriate class.
